Sway Control

Our advanced Sway Control  system enhances crane safety and efficiency by actively minimizing both linear and rotation sway of the grapple or hook, with and without load. The system dynamically compensates for unwanted swaying motions during crane movement and ensures stable and precise load handling. Our closed loop system will compensate sway that is induced by accelerating or braking the trolley, bridge, or gantry - and it will also compensate sway that is produced by external factors such as wind, lift-up etc. 

Our Torsion Killer is a rotational control system that uses a top-mounted Machine Vision camera to continuously track the orientation of the grapple's components. It processes this data in real time to apply precise corrective movements, preventing over-rotation and stabilizing the load throughout the lift. The system ensures the load reaches its target orientation with zero residual rotation.

Our system works in either of two modes. 

• Sway prevention: The system automatically suppresses any sway, including rotation sway, as the crane moves. This keeps the load stable throughout operation. 
• Sway Stop: At the touch of a button, the system quickly dampens and stops existing sway - both linear and rotational - allowing for safe, accurate load placement. 

By reducing sway, our solution improves safety and positioning accuracy and aso reduces cycle time and operator fatigue. 

Our anti sway works best in conjunction with our Shortcut Solution: When the system drives the load directly to the target, it knows exactly when to start sowing down while invoking the anti-sway function, so that the load arrives on target sway-free.
